Lauren and Eli are married! After years together and more than a year spent planning every thoughtful detail, May 16 finally arrived, and it was everything they had hoped for. Their wedding day at The Barn at Shady Lane was packed with colour and completely centered on celebrating the life they are building together!

I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for a loooong time. After photographing their engagement session all the way back in July (check out that blog if you haven’t yet!), it felt like forever until wedding day finally arrived! Seeing everything come together was worth the wait.

The colour palette Lauren chose was one of my favourite details of the day. Her bouquet was bursting with summer colour! Bright pinks, cheerful yellows, pops of orange and touches of blue were woven all throughout. The bridesmaids wore the prettiest butter yellow dresses, which complemented the florals perfectly and made the entire day feel bright and fresh!

Their ceremony was especially meaningful because Lauren and Eli chose to honor Eli’s Jewish heritage by incorporating several beautiful Jewish traditions. From signing the ketubah, a traditional Jewish marriage contract, to the yarmulkes and the presence of a cantor, every element felt intentional and personal. It was such a beautiful picture of two families and traditions coming together as one.

The dance floor was packed from the moment it opened! One of the most memorable moments of the evening was watching Lauren and Eli participate in the traditional Jewish chair dance, aka the Hora. Surrounded by cheering family and friends, they were lifted high above the crowd with huge smiles on their faces!

As the evening came to a close, guests lined up outside with bubbles to send off the newlyweds. Lauren and Eli ran through a sea of smiles and laughter, beaming from ear to ear as they officially began their next chapter as Mr. and Mrs. Silverman!

Lauren and Eli, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a beautiful celebration! What a privilege it was to document the beginning of this new season for you both.
