Then, at the peak of the reception, Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” began to play right as rain started to fall. The dance floor was outside under a partially-covered patio, and guests were dancing like there was no tomorrow. As the lyric “Feel the rain on your skin” resounded across the venue, the heavens opened! I couldn’t have scripted it any better. A massive thunderstorm followed in its wake, but no one really minded. Guests were scream-singing as their clothes soaked through, then they all jumped in the pool and ended up sitting at the bar to air dry. As guests finally made their way back inside, I just kept hearing the phrase “I’ve never had so much fun!”
