Your invitation suite is your guest’s first glimpse into your wedding day experience! It’s an easy way to set the tone for the kind of event you’re creating. I know how much effort can go into creating a beautiful invitation suite, and I’m sure you want yours to be special and bring a smile to your guests’ faces! So, I’ve compiled a short guide on creating a memorable invitation suite.

The simplest way to attain cohesion from the first invite delivery to the reception is utilizing your wedding colours. With everything from wedding florals and your dance floor wrap to wedding guest attire and your plates, colours are the main thread bringing it all together. Set the tone ahead of time with your invites, and don’t be afraid to get a little bold with your invitation colour choices!

It’s funny how something so minute can have such an intense effect. If you’re planning a black-tie wedding, use fonts that ooze classy. If you’re planning a semi-formal wedding with a relaxed, party vibe, throw in a font that feels like the event.

If you haven’t already, I 100% recommend creating a wedding website as a one-stop-shop for all your guests with questions about your wedding. Additionally, it’s a great idea to include the link to this wedding website on either your Save The Dates or on your wedding invitation! You could even generate a unique QR code for your guests to scan that takes them straight there!

With the rise of wedding websites, there has been a steady decline in physical RSVP cards. Most websites allow guests to RSVP online, which is always an easy, convenient option! However, I do still love to fill out and send a physical RSVP card! It’s an extra expense, (don’t forget the stamp!) but one that adds to the experience.

This suggestion is vague for a reason: every couple is different and unique in their own way! Add a wax seal with your crest on it; create custom koozies, cups or stickers; include a personal note saying how excited you are to see and celebrate each and every one of your guests. The possibilities are endless on this one, but any personal touch you choose will add to the beauty of the invitation.

Using incredible Alabama-based designers like Empress Stationery and Ledgewood Fine Stationery, you can start from scratch with them to curate a one-of-a-kind invitation suite experience for your guests. Think mirrors, custom watercolours, feathers … you name it, they can do it! Seasoned wedding professionals can help you think outside the box to create an elaborate and glamorous suite.
