35-acres of land, a 9,000 square foot home (previously owned by William McLure) decorated impeccably, a permanent tent, an outdoor pavilion and more amenities at this wedding venue than you could dream! Fox and Vale is the perfect addition to Birmingham’s wedding venue scene, and I’m so glad this retreat of a venue is now open to couples.
Every piece of this property has been thoughtfully planned to create an immersive resort for couples’ wedding weekends. From the hydrangeas that welcome you and the adirondack chairs that sit by rolling fields to the in-house spa and barber shop, every inch is jaw-dropping.
As soon as you pull onto this property 35 minutes down Birmingham’s Highway 280, you take a deep breath. Winding through tree-lined roads to get to the house alone is a peaceful journey, and that’s just the start of the experience!
The venue is set just outside of Birmingham – close enough to stores and farther out enough to be peaceful – and if you know anything about the Magic City, it’s that it is surprisingly mountainous. The city is set at the very beginning of the Appalachian Mountain’s Ridge and Valley region, which means on any given night you can find an overlook to watch the sunset.
So it was no surprise when I pulled in the driveway that the venue was surrounded by luscious fields.
We’ll begin this visual tour with the entrance and the first floor of the home. As you travel through, envision yourself spending the weekend here preparing to marry the love of your life. Settle in and let’s go!

Picture this: you wake up, pad into the kitchen sleepily and hang out with your bridal party before the day really gets going. The lounging chairs, the long table (made out of one piece of wood!) and large kitchen island provide tons of comfortable seating so everyone has a place to land. The coffee is poured, people begin grazing on breakfast and you have spectacular views as you enjoy each other’s company. This space practically begs relaxation!

This lounging room features a service Fox and Vale loves to provide for clients: custom pickleball swag! The venue’s on-site pickleball courts are close to completion, so this service is for couples who want to treat their bridal parties with a weekend pickleball tournament. Custom paddles, wine bottles, attire, trophies, koozies and more are part of this add-on service. Play pickleball in style with this fun option!

The massive pavilion that sits by a pond, stares out at a field and sits right next to the house is one of the highlights of the property. Whether it’s transformed by a design or if only a few touches are added, this pavilion looks beautiful at every angle. Host your ceremony, buffet or dance floor up here while guests enjoy the rest of the property for other festivities!

The permanent tent that sits on the backside of the property, to the right of the house, is an essential part of this place! No more renting tents, waiting on rain plans or forking out additional thousands of dollars. The tent is already here for you to use! It’s the exact same dimensions as the outdoor pavilion, so it makes design decisions simpler.

Need a break throughout the weekend, want to house your bar here or enjoy a fun evening before guests arrive? Hang out at The Foxy Tavern! This modern outdoor bar is the perfect setting for a small group of people.

You’ll have to visit to find out what’s behind it! The “Keebler Elf door” is a fun feature of the property that surprises eveyrone.

The upstairs of the house hosts multiple rooms, spacious bathrooms, gorgeous window light and a fabulously cozy media room for all your friends to snuggle on while watching a movie. The interior design makes each room so inviting.

Can we talk about her room though? This spacious bridal suite has you gasping upon entering. With multiple places to lounge, this escape provides gentle rest for the bride-to-be as she prepares for her wedding day. This suite is equipped with “The Salon at Fox and Vale”, a luxurious bathroom, a writing table, a washer and dryer, views to the front lawn and easy hallway access to the other upstairs rooms where bridesmaids stay.

Have you ever seen a groom’s suite more outfitted than this? The 9-bunk-bed with a groom’s room area can house all your friends for the weekend, but it doesn’t stop there. They have an in-house barber shop, large luggage storage area, kitchenette area and enough taxidermy to last you a lifetime! The living areas include games like chess, poker and foosball for a classic guys’ night. The best part about this space, though, is the living room with TVs so you can even watch three sports at one time!

With an on-call masseuse and breathtaking views, this in-house spa is the stuff of dreams. Enjoy a massage on your wedding weekend and let yourself unwind.

Fox and Vale thought of it all … truly. Every corner has a new surprise, every design decision took painstaking hours to complete, every piece of furniture was intentionally sourced and you can tell this land was prayed for — every square inch. I love what this venue is bringing to the Birmingham wedding scene, and I hope you schedule a tour soon!
