I first photographed the Avery family back in 2022, when their oldest, Jackson, was graduating and heading off to college. A lot has changed in the past four years, but my love for photographing this sweet family has remained! Sam, the youngest Avery, has just graduated from Vestavia Hills and is starting at Auburn in the fall, so it was time for another Avery family session!
One of my favourite things about the Avery family is that they’re always up for a new location! Over the past few years I’ve photographed them everywhere from Crest Road to Morris Avenue! This year, we selected the Rotary Trail and the Pedestrian Bridge, two iconic settings that really scream “Birmingham!”
I’m always honoured when families continue to return, year after year, and allow me to capture such sweet changes in their lives. Milestones like these deserve to be celebrated, and I happen to think a family portrait session makes for the perfect mini graduation party!
